So Morphe have really stepped up their game recently? I’m a massive Morphe fan, their 35 pan eyeshadow palettes were my introduction into the beauty world. I’m also obsessed with their brushes! Anyway, this new launch in collaboration with Bretman Rock is perfect. I have to be honest, unlike other beauty guru collaborations, this one wasn’t really on my radar. That aside, I’m completely obsessed with this palette! Below I’ll share swatches and talk through why!
Morphe X Bretman Rock ♥ |
When I first initially saw the swatches for this palette I was slightly concerned that the highlighter shades might be too dark for me but I was wrong! I know that some of the girls I follow on instagram with deeper skin tones also had concerns that it would be too light. Seems everyone was wrong as since this palette has launched, all I have seen is a wide variety of swatches on all skin tones and it looks beautiful!

Has anyone else bought this palette? What did you think of it? As with all Morphe products the price point is extremely competitive and if you’re looking for a product that gives you a variety of highlighter shades, covering off pale pink, rose gold, gold, champagne and shimmery bronze.
The formulae of these highlighters are verging on cream but are a powder formulae, perfect to blend and blinding on the skin, especially if layered with a brush and a spritz of setting spray, or even your fingers or a beauty sponge!

The packaging on this palette is pretty similar to the Morphe X Jaclyn Hill and ‘Dare to Create’ palettes. Morphe seem to have moved away from the plastic packaging that housed their 35 pan palettes, and have instead began opting for what I can only describe as some form of structured coated cardboard? Whatever it is, it’s sturdy, clean and the teal/sand colour scheme and palm tree vibe for this palette instantly screams ‘summer’.
I have to say, whilst fan brushes are aesthetically pleasing for photographs and flatlays, I’m yet to warm to them as a tool for application of highlighter. Then again, that might be because I’m more of a ‘blinding highlight’ kind of girl, rather than a soft subtle glow…! It’s definitely a good addition for the price point, making this product a perfect all round contender for anyone who is just getting into makeup and highlighters, as well as collectors and makeup junkies! £29 for 28g of product in total is a decent amount, with 4.6g of product in each pan, plus it comes with a fan brush!
If you’ve bought this palette or are thinking about buying it, let me know!
