Huda Beauty Desert Dusk Palette ♥ |
September 18th cannot get here quick enough!
I know I really shouldn’t be wishing away my life like that but I literally can’t help it. I thought Huda’s Rose Gold palette was the best thing since sliced bread but the Desert Dusk palette is something else entirely.
Across all the palettes that I own (and there’s a lot), I have nothing that sits even remotely close in similarity to this palette. The colour scheme and the variety of shadow textures in one palette is unlike anything I have. An Arabian inspired palette as described by Huda herself, this new palette from Huda Beauty boasts 4 new textures that look set to make the beauty world go mad.
Textures:
- Matte – buttery, smooth, extremely pigmented
- Desert Sand, Musk, Eden, Amber, Oud, Amethyst, Saffron & Blazing (8)
- Pressed Pearls – high shimmer, can be used alone or layered on top of matte shades
- Blood Moon, Nefertiti, Royal, Cashmere, Angelic & Turkish Delight (6)
- Duo-Chrome Toppers – transforms completely in various lighting
- Celestial, Twilight & Retrograde (3)
- Pure Glitter – luxury pressed glitter, highly pigmented
- Cosmo (1)
Desert Dusk is already listed on Cult Beauty (Waitlist Only) ♥ |
Huda revealed there will be 8 Matte Shades, 6 Pressed Pearls, 3 Duo-Chrome Toppers and 1 Pure Glitter. I’ve only taken a guess at which shades fall into each category, Matte shades aside as those are pretty obvious. Of course I watched the big reveal on Huda’s snapchat and insta story so I’m hoping I’ve remembered them correctly!
2 colours that immediately stand out to me are ‘Cosmo’ and ‘Twilight’. That red pressed glitter needs to get in my life ASAP. I literally can’t wait to bathe my lids in it. I’m also really happy that she chose to carry ‘Angelic’ across from the Rose Gold palette as this was by far one of my most favourite shades, purely for it’s duo-chrome composition which was something I’d never seen before until the Rose Gold palette.
Desert Dusk revelation by the queen herself ♥ |
As Huda has already stated, the inspiration behind the palette was based on the iridescent shifting shades transformed by the ever changing climate and light in the desert.
I cannot wait for this to launch. I’ve got multiple reminders set and you know I’m already on the Cult Beauty waitlist. This palette has already attracted a lot of attention so it’s bound to sell out within minutes. I’m not even going to entertain the idea of missing out on the first hit and waiting for a restock, I need this palette in my hands on the 19th September!
I hope you guys are as excited as I am. As soon as I get the palette I’ll be posting a full review with photos and swatches so please keep an eye out!
