Yes, the title of this blog is correct. I was sent a PR package from Charlotte Tilbury!!!!!! I literally couldn’t believe it, I was so overwhelmed when they acknowledged me and let me know they’d be sending me some products to test out and review. I’m so thankful, thank you so much to the team at Charlotte Tilbury, you literally will never know how much it meant to me to receive this from you as I’m a massive fan of your brand! Below I’ll run through the three products I was gifted, as well as the rest of my Charlotte Tilbury collection so far.
How gorgeous is this PR packaging? ♥ |
So above is a picture of the PR package I received in the post. A gorgeous deep burgundy box complete with the beauty rose gold logo and branding and a beautiful bow. Luxurious tissue paper housed three beautiful products. I was literally SO excited while I was opening this I can’t even describe it. Upon opening the box, I discovered the team at CT had sent me three full size products to try! What I love about Charlotte Tilbury is her products really do look and feel like high end makeup. The brand itself also proudly ensures itself and none of it’s suppliers test on animals.
The three items Charlotte Tilbury sent me ♥ |
As pictured above, the team had sent me a 50ml tub of Charlotte’s Magic Cream, 40ml of the Wonder Glow primer and the Filmstar Bronze & Glow face sculpt & highlight duo in Light-Medium. I am so thankful for the opportunity and for receiving these products. Although these were sent to me, the opinions reflected in this blog post are NOT sponsored and are completely my own.
Filmstar Bronze & Glow (Light to Medium) ♥ |
I’d already purchased the bronze and glow compact a few weeks ago but after a couple of uses I was glad of a back up! What I’ve fallen in love with about this product is that the actual amount of product in the pans is a decent amount, 16g in total, and the quality of the powders are indisputable. Since I first bought this product, I’d only worn it a couple of times because I do try rotate my products? However, after receiving this from Charlotte Tilbury, I knew I had to give it a good test run before I could write a blog post on it! Consequently, I can tell you I literally haven’t put it down since!
I always like to brush a soft light toned bronzer with a big fluffy brush (usually my Morphe R2) over my cheeks and forehead/temples before contouring to avoid any harsh lines. Using my Morphe Y11 from the Gilded Collection, I sculpt out my non existent cheek bones, jawline and where my forehead meets my hairline. I’ll then take the real techniques angled concealer brush to contour the sides and tip of my nose. The colour of this sculpting powder is the perfect balance between cool and warm tones, I’d go as far as to say it’s the perfect mid-tone/neutral powder for contouring, pigmented with a hint of pearl.
As for the highlight, it reminds me of candle light? The glow is soft, not too blinding but a beautiful soft natural pale golden glow that will illuminate the high points of your face. I also apply it down the centre of my nose, my cupids bow and brow bone for a perfect all over glow complimented by the contour perfectly! Even better, this product is paraben free!
My current Charlotte Tilbury Collection ♥ |
So I thought I’d break this post up a bit just by quickly showing you guys my current Charlotte Tilbury collection. Up until quite recently I owned no products from Charlotte Tilbury, it was always a brand I’d had my eye on, always tried testers in shops but never quite had enough budget left for it! That all changed when House of Fraser had a one day offer on Charlotte Tilbury a few weeks ago though. 10% off all CT products so I took the plunge and fully indulged!
House of Fraser Order ♥ |
I treated myself to 6 lipsticks, airbrush flawless finish powder in ‘fair’, filmstar bronze and glow duo and Cheek to Chic blusher in ‘Love Glow’. The blush is a perfect subtle hue of pink, it applies evenly and blends beautifully. I love that the out ring can be diffused along the cheek bones, with the centre adding a flush of blush glow on my cheeks!
As for the airbrush flawless finish powder, I genuinely only picked this up because Jaclyn Hill raves about it so much and I was intrigued. Usually Jaclyn’s recommendations have always served me well so I was excited to try this. Let’s just say I wasn’t disappointed! The powder is beautiful, as is the stunning gold packaging. The product performs so well for my combination skin type! I struggle because I have some areas where I’m prone to dry patches, particularly in the winter, my T Zone generally becomes oily and my cheeks etc are fairly normal! This is a solid all rounder for a pressed finishing powder, keeping my T Zone glow to a minimum with a soft velvet sheen, but also nourishing my dry areas courtesy of the nourishing rose wax and almond oil! It also keeps my frown/creases to a minimum, very important during a stressful day at work!
Lipsticks are as follows:
- K.I.S.S.I.N.G lipstick in ‘Penelope Pink’
- K.I.S.S.I.N.G lipstick in ‘Nude Kate’
- K.I.S.S.I.N.G lipstick in ‘Hepburn Honey’
- Matte Revolution lipstick in ‘Pillow Talk’
- Matte Revolution lipstick in ‘Walk of Shame’
- Hot Lips lipstick in ‘Kim K.W’
Left to Right: Kim KW, Hepburn Honey, Penelope Pink, Nude Kate, Pillow Talk & Walk of Shame ♥ |
I decided to get a few of each type of lipstick style just to see how they compare to other brands ie. MAC. The matte revolution lipsticks are bold in colour, velvet like matte in texture, long-wearing and surprisingly hydrating on your lips. I also love the squared off tip, it makes a massive different when trying to combat your cupids box, the slightest mistake on this area can leave your whole mouth looking off centre and wonky!
Next up, the Hot Lips lipsticks, all twelve available shades named after iconic beauties. To me, the Hot Lips lipsticks are the most aesthetically pleasing because of the gorgeous lips embossed into the lipstick column and the innovative squared off tip. I purchased Kim KW, not because I love Kim but because I thought I’d push the boat out a little bit as I don’t usually go for lighter nude shades. I’m glad I did as it’s stunning! Next on my wish list is ‘Tell Laura’, a vibrant red which for me is always a must have.
Finally the K.I.S.S.I.N.G lipsticks. Unsurprisingly I opted for the three nude shades here and I absolutely love them! The formulae is creamy, long-wearing and non-drying, holding a satin like sheen to keep the colour ‘flexible’ and rich all day.
As an aside, all three styles of lipsticks are infused with achiote extract or ‘the lipstick tree extract’, proven to naturally protect and nourish the lips, protecting them from pollution and harmful UV rays! This is definitely what makes these lipsticks stand out amongst the crowd in my opinion, you can definitely tell there’s something special in them! No dry cracked lips, no bleeding or feathering around the edges and no smudging.
Charlotte’s Magic Cream 50ml ♥ |
Moving on to Charlotte’s Magic Cream… I have face the fact that I’m now addicted to a £70 jar of face cream! This cream is the perfect moisturiser to wear underneath makeup, and after ten days use, I definitely noticed my skin seemed, brighter, perkier and instantly hydrated.
I’ve taken the below directly from Charlotte Tilbury’s website as I know ingredients in skin care are always something a lot of you check!

Wonderglow Primer ♥ |
Last but not least, the third of the complimentary products I received, the Wonderglow Face Primer. I’d not really heard much about this product in comparison to the other two so I had no prior expectations before using it! Once again, I discovered this primer is another product that Charlotte has nailed! The thing I loved about this primer the most is the fact that it almost seems to carry a tint to it. It appears to be infused with a golden shimmer, which in turn gives your skin a realist sun kissed effect! No other primer I own creates the same effect so it definitely doesn’t blend into your makeup drawer!
Moving on to pores, I found that although it doesn’t entirely diffuse your pores, it does seem to add an overall soft blurring illusion to the face once applied all over. Although I wouldn’t say I have extremely large or prominent pores, looking up close I could still see them, though subsequently more undefined. I’ve trialled wearing this primer under various foundations and found it paired exceptionally well with my Armani Luminous Silk foundation. Luminous Silk itself is a light-medium coverage foundation with a soft glow and the combination creates a beautiful effect. It’s definitely a strong option to wear alone on a good skin day for sure! This primer contains 40ml of product and retails for £38.50. It’s also paraben free and it’s worth noting that for the price, the product also contains anti-aging BioNymph Peptide Complex which stimulates collagen, promoting elasticity in your skin.
All in all, Charlotte Tilbury as a brand has unsurprisingly stormed it’s way up my favourites and it sitting firmly near the top. The price point is slightly higher than I’d like to pay but you definitely get what you pay for so I will of course be adding more! For us UK beauties, Charlotte Tilbury is available at Cult Beauty, John Lewis, Selfridges, Harrods and House of Fraser plus a few others.
