As soon as I saw there was a new eye palette launching by Charlotte Tilbury it went straight on my wish list so I had to post about it! I haven’t really seen a lot about this palette until recently when I received an email from Cult Beauty telling me they’d be retailing it exclusively in the UK and to sign up to the wait list… so of course I signed up! I’m hoping it drops at the end of the month so I can buy it! I’m slightly worried as it’s retailing as limited edition and I’d be sooo devastated if I missed out!
Look at that packaging! ♥ |
So first off, let me just quickly talk about the packaging of this palette..? It looks like this palette has been housed in the same decadent gorgeous rose gold metallic packaging as the film star bronze and glow duo compact and I’m so happy! It also comes with a full size mirror in the lid of the compact which is helpful! The packaging on the bronze and glow compact is one of my favourites of all the products I own (and it looks beautiful in photos!). Basically, I need to add this palette to my collection! The palette is set to retail for £60 which is quite a hefty price tag but no surprise amongst Charlotte Tilbury fans who are familiar with her pricing range.
So as soon as I caught site of this palette I fell in love. I absolutely adore palettes that are as user friendly as possible, something that’s especially important for beginners. The fact that this palette has four sets of ‘smokey eye trios’, each specific to an occasion makes me incredibly happy!
The four trios:
- DAY EYE – two soft neutral mattes, one ballet worthy pink, the other a soft buttery taupe shade and one burnished silvery pink shimmer
- DESK EYE – two warm tone mattes, one a soft terracotta, the other an auburn brown, and one apricot champagne shimmer
- DATE EYE – two shimmers, one a beautiful rose gold, the other a bronze infused with silver, one dark neutral taupe matte shade
- DISCO EYE – two contrasting shimmers, one a pale gold, the other a bronze olive toned gold, and one dark true midnight black matte shade.
I’ve not seen any swatches or any reviews of this palette on you tube yet or anything but I can only imagine how beautiful this is going to be! Each trio has supposedly been designed to ‘Prime’, ‘Enhance’ and ‘Smoke’ the eye. I literally can’t wait to get my hands on this!
